ACTIVITIES IN YEAR | 2010
Distributed various social awareness literature related to TB (pamphlets, Hand bill etc.) in all the districts of Uttarakahand through volunteers.
Organized a painting competition during the period of awareness programme on tuberculosis among School students in various Districts of Uttarakhand. Winners (I, II and III) in districts level competition have been awarded with cash prize (Rs.500, Rs. 300 and Rs. 200) mementos and certificate. All the participants in this competition received certificate of participation from D.T.O., D.E.O., C.M.S. and D.M. of respective districts. The competition was a great success, we are able to spread message of T.B. Control, Prevention and cure through upcoming generation by reaching the remotest part of Uttarakhand.
Winners at District Level Competition were again examined by the committee, for the state level results. Winners (I, II and III) of State level received cash prize of (5,000, 3,000 and 2,000), Momentous and Certificate from the Hon'BleEx.Chief Minister Retrd. Maj. General Shri B.C. Khanduri, Leader Opposition, Dr.Harak Singh Rawat, Ex. Education Minister Mr. Tirath Singh Rawat and Mayor Dehradun Mr. Vinod Chamoli.
On the occasion of World T.B. Day (24th March) TBAU published a Souvenir, was released by TBAUK first time in Uttarakhand, containing useful Messages, Articles and Literature on Tuberculosis.
Place of Activity : Bageshwar, Champawat, Tehri, Pauri, Almora, Nainital, Udham Singh Nagar, Rudraprayag, Gopeshwar(Chamoli) and Pithoragarh Dehradun.
No. of Beneficiary : Around 4,000 school children got awarded by volunteers in 13 districts of Uttarakhand.
Impact on the Grounds as on date : Awareness spread through school children.
